Delivered on adjacent sites, this project was completed in two stages. The first stage involved the construction of a new single storey sports pavilion, including changing rooms, activity halls, a first aid room and a plant room.
During the second phase of the project, we extended and refurbished the existing Millennium Hall building. Existing changing facilities were converted into a multi-use function room freed up space for additional community use. We also constructed a small extension to the front wing of the building, to provide a more obvious frontage to the Parish office from reception, along with a larger Police office, a relaxation area and a refreshment space.
To ensure there was no disruption to the existing facilities, our activities needed to be carefully programmed. We liaised with managers of the pre-school to schedule work around term dates, and players from the Home football and rugby clubs were able to continue to use changing facilities so matches could continue.
