Client: Nuneaton & Bosworth Borough Council
Project Value: £150k | Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
This project involved the complete remodelling of two unoccupied semi-detached properties to form four modern flats. Originally constructed in the 1930’s the properties had fallen into a state of disrepair and extensive internal and external refurbishment works were required to reinstate them re-habitation.
Each property received a new roof, windows and doors were replaced and internal walls were re-plastered and re-decorated throughout. Electrical installations were modernised, and re-wired, and plumbing systems upgraded to include new kitchen and bathroom suites and replacement boilers.
We were able to provide the Council with several improvements to their original specification. Rather than repairing and re-decorating the original timber porches they were replaced with a UPVC alternative, creating a superior, cost effective, maintenance free solution. Insulation was also upgraded which resulted in improved thermal values throughout the building, therefore lowering energy bills for the residents.
